CESA 3 staff facilitates continuous improvement efforts in multiple ways to pave the way for successful learning for all students. Districts have the opportunity to join the School Improvement Division (SID), which provides access to regular updates on federal, state and local initiatives, DAC Warehouse & Networking, Principal Network Meetings, and onsite coaching and consulting for individualized support. Strategic Use of Data
Our data specialists utilize the WISExplore Data Inquiry Process to meet the needs of educators in the region. The data inquiry process includes an analysis of both student outcomes and adult practices data. From leading teams through a comprehensive needs assessment with a root cause analysis, to developing tools to capture targeted data for your district, we are well-poised to support our districts. Rigorous Instruction
Rigorous instruction requires a culture of high expectations for all. An important first step is to ensure all students are being taught grade-level standards through highly effective instructional practices. CESA 3 supports all disciplines with content experts to provide coaching and support to educators in your building, as well as broader evaluations of the systems and practices that support student learning. Assessment Practices
CESA 3 staff have the depth and breadth of knowledge of all state assessments, their blueprints and designs, preparation resources, and data analysis strategies, as well as hose same facets of local and classroom assessments. We work with DPI leaders and national experts to ensure that current, high quality assessment practices are presented to the educators of Southwest Wisconsin.

School Improvement Planning
Continuous improvement is an ongoing process with embedded cycles of improvement to inform the work. CESA 3 partners with DPI and national experts to ensure district leaders have access to the tools, resources, and support necessary to build educational systems and align educator practices in service to each and every student. Starting with mission and vision work, followed by data investigations and careful planning, our staff can coach the technical assistance and adaptive change necessary for educators to lead with equity. Evidence-Based Improvement Strategies
According to the DPI, evidence-based improvement strategies are practices or programs that have evidence to show they are effective at producing results and improving outcomes when implemented as intended. CESA 3 consultant have training and expertise in myriad evidence-based improvement strategies that may positively impact learning for all students in your district, including Professional Learning Communities, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Instructional Materials Selection/Implementation.

Culturally Responsive Practices
All programs at CESA 3 share DPI’s vision: Success means understanding students’ cultural beliefs and practices. By engaging in Culturally Responsive Practices, you are forming an understanding about the values, beliefs, and behaviors of people from cultures that may be different from your own.” We partner with several national experts to educate ourselves in antiracism and other equitable practices that lead to success for all students, regardless of disability, socioeconomic status, or skin color. We can support you in examining your systems for bias and leading important conversations about equity and social justice in your district.
